BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI – TriMas says its fastener-focused Aerospace segment saw net sales for the second quarter decrease 13.9% to $42.6 million. Representing 26% of its parent company’s overall revenues, the drop came primarily due the impact of significantly lower air travel and reduced commercial and business jet production related to the global pandemic. It was partially offset by the sales increase related to the acquisition of RSA in February 2020.

Eurotec is based in Tokyo.  Incorporated in 1990, Eurotec Ltd. started distribution of industrial fasteners including clinching fasteners and welding studs ten years later.

TARIFFS AGAINST CHINESE FASTENERS IN REVIEW

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal says it initiated a review of its January 5, 2015 order against the dumping of certain carbon steel fasteners originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China and of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (Chinese Taipei). The “sunset” rule requires the review on the subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from China.
