Avantus Aerospace Names Bruce Maynard VP Business Development

Avantus Aerospace named Bruce Maynard Vice President Business Development & Marketing. Maynard’s “extensive background in aerospace supply chain, manufacturing and engineering makes him ideally suited for this exciting Group role,” according to an Avantus release.

Maynard had been with Wesco Aircraft where he was Vice President of Strategic Supply Chain and before that he worked for Pratt & Whitney, ultimately as Country Manager –Global Strategic Sourcing.

Avantus Aerospace has been building a portfolio of smaller companies, based on a strategy that these businesses allow for the intimate knowledge and customer relationships. But these businesses receive the support that a large company can provide for developing operational excellence to reduce lead times, increase throughput and improve delivery. 

Separately, Avantus announced the appointment of Eric Stoltz to the position of General Manager at California Screw Products, which was acquired in October.

Stoltz background in aerospace manufacturing has benefited from his training as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Shingijutsu Lean Philosophies consultant to achieve long-term results.

In his most recent role as Senior Director of Operational Excellence and Lean Improvement at Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing, Stoltz was responsible for the execution of the operational business strategy and long-term organizational improvements at seven locations with over 1,400 employees. “He has built a solid industry reputation for effectively driving down costs and aligning customer demand with operational business strategies,” Avantus said in a release announcing his appointment.

Stoltz holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Cal Poly State University, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from CSU Long Beach.
