Würth Acquires Louisiana Assets of Techni-Tool

INDIANAPOLIS - Würth Industry says it acquired the Louisiana assets of Techni-Tool Inc., a business operation known as MDM Tool Supply even after Techni-Tool acquired it in September 2019. MDM Tool Supply is an industrial distributor of cutting tools and accessories serving Louisiana, Mississippi and Gulf Coast markets.

Calling it “a strong brand” serving the machining, metalworking, and industrial segments, Würth Industry says that together with Würth Van Horn, MDM Tool Supply will provide expanded services to customers across the US, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil.

This includes customers in the metalworking and machining markets, specifically in oil, gas, transportation, and logistics industries and will deepen their geographic footprint in the gulf region.

"Würth Industry has strong growth targets, both organically and through key acquisitions,” said Dan Hill, CEO for Würth Industry North America. “This investment represents an important strategic opportunity to expand our metalworking and fabrication services and offer better supply chain solutions.”

Hill said the deal also shows Würth Group’s financial muscle. "Acting on an opportunity to grow during a pandemic shows the financial strength of the Würth Group and our commitment to growing and serving our customers."

Würth Industry North is a $1 Billion division of the Würth Group, the world's largest fastener distribution company. With more than 110 locations across North America supplying 420,000 parts and a myriad of services, Würth products and services include engineering assistance, quality control, inventory management, vending, safety supplies, kitting and assembly, structural fasteners and MRO/industrial supplies.
