Founded in 1899, G.L. Huyett is a low overhead manufacturer and distributor "located in a wheat field in Minneapolis" as the company describes itself. Located just a few miles from the geographic center of the U.S., shipping to any North American destination, even overnight, is routine.
The company considers itself the low-cost leader for all sorts of non-threaded fasteners from washers to keystock to grease fittings, and much more.
G.L. Huyett has complete onsite manufacturing capabilities, complementing its sourcing of parts from industry leaders and low-cost producers. It manufactures parts that are hard to make or just plain hard to find. “We are especially competitive for short runs and odd configurations,” the company says.
In July 2018, Huyett acquired Phoenix-based AZ Lifting Hardware. G.L. Huyett’s CEO, Tim O’Keeffe, noted “We now have a warehouse located in the Southwest, allowing us to reduce freight costs to the West Coast for G.L. Huyett products.” The lifting hardware is also now stocked “in our Tennessee warehouse to reduce freight costs for customers on the East Coast.” Learn more about G.L Huyett in Booth 524 at the 2020 International Fastener Fair USA, May 18-20 in the Charlotte Convention Center.
