Registrants for the July 13 Conference Program at Fastener Fair USA will tour Blum, Inc.’s 450,000 sq.ft. industrial operation producing and distributing cabinetry hinges and slides for the U.S. market.  

Fastener Fair USA will offer its first-ever plant tour, as part of its third annual show, now scheduled with new dates, July 13-15, 2020 at the Charlotte, NC Convention Center. 

The show features a day-long, three-track conference program, opening with a keynote on Supply Chain Impacts of Industry 4.0, before into individual sections: Fasteners 101, Value Added Selling, or Fasteners & the Smart Factory.  

At 3:00 p.m. the three tracks will combine to board buses for the plant tour to Blum, Inc.’s Stanley, NC 450,000 square foot. Factory in nearby Stanley, NC. The tour is included with any Conference registration at no additional charge. 

Blum, Inc. Is the U.S. operation of the Austria-based global brand, which makes hinges, slides, lifts and other fixtures and components for commercial and residential interior furnishings and kitchen cabinets. U.S. operations began in 1977, and Blum has seen nine building expansions since then. 

Currently, Blum, Inc.’s 450,000 operation is located on 70-acres and includes administration, manufacturing and distribution facilities, a high-rise product storage building with automated retrieval, a low-bay warehouse for customer order staging, a state-of-the-art cabinet shop, and a samples preparation area. Blum’s signature offerings include Blumotion door hinges and Tandem drawer slides, both of which are precision manufactured fixtures with dozens of moving parts, held in place with multiple threaded fasteners and adjusting screws.
